Dynamic Movement Intervention
Leaps and Bounds now offers DMI registered clinicians (Introductory Level A) in all locations!
DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention) is a treatment technique that is based on researched neurological theories such as neuroplasticity. These dynamic exercises allow postural responses against gravity from the child which results in an active and fully participatory experience. This technique can be utilized in any session for children with motor delays regardless of diagnosis or level of function & cognition. Our staff is able to customize the plan of care based on your child's individual needs. Your child's function, and therefore the plan of care, may change over time. The dynamic aspect of these exercises allows our trained clinicians to constantly challenge and strive towards the child's goals and lead to optimal performance. Please head on over to the DMI website www.dmitherapy.com to learn more about this technique and how it may benefit your child's therapeutic journey.
